The First Annual A Cappella Showcase was held in the H.F. DeLuca Forum in the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery on Thursday, October 23rd, 2014. Six UW – Madison a cappella groups put on a show, sponsored by BadgerThon, to benefit the American Family Children’s Hospital. The efforts from the First Annual A Cappella Showcase resulted in a donation of more than $3,600!
Lori Berquam, the University of Wisconsin – Madison Dean of Students, gave a short statement about the passionate and talented students at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and their willingness to give back to the community.
There was a wide variety of music, including Say You Love Me performed by Redefined, Bottom of the River performed by Pitches and Notes, and Iscariot performed by Fundamentally Sound.
Thank you to Fundamentally Sound, Jewop, The Madhatters, Pitches and Notes, Redefined, and Tangled Up In Blue for donating their time, talent, and enthusiasm towards our cause, to Dean Berquam for showing her support for BadgerThon and our mission, and to all that attended the showcase.
We look forward to the Second Annual A Cappella Showcase next fall!
