The American Family Children’s Hospital opened in August 2007 in Madison, WI.
AFCH is a beautiful facility built to meet the growing needs of thousands of sick children. Newborns, children, and teenagers come from all over Wisconsin and the country to be treated at this world-class medical and surgical center. The average length of a child’s stay is 4.7 days. BadgerThon has funded a casting room, a pharmacy workroom, gas cards for families, support for the Child Life Department and hosts bimonthly family dinners. Every member of the organization gets the opportunity to go on a behind the scenes tour led by one of the hospital executives.
